HomeEnergyHQ is funded by two transparent revenue streams. We want you to understand both before you read further.

Pay-per-lead arrangements

When you submit a quote form, we pass your enquiry to up to three vetted installers. Those installers pay us a small fee per qualified introduction. You pay nothing, and you are under no obligation to use any installer we introduce.

We never accept payment from an installer to suppress competing quotes. We never share your enquiry with installers outside our vetting standards. If we ever fall short of those rules, please tell us at contact@homeenergyhq.co.uk.

Affiliate links

Some of our guides link to relevant products (e.g. energy monitors, smart thermostats) or services (e.g. energy supplier referrals such as the Octopus Energy referral programme). If you click through and sign up or buy, we may receive a commission. The price you pay is unaffected by clicking our link.

We disclose affiliate links inline where they appear, and never recommend a product solely because it pays a commission. The "10 questions to ask before you sign" in our solar guide is the standard we hold ourselves to as well.

What independence means

HomeEnergyHQ is not owned by an installer, manufacturer or energy supplier. Editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial relationship. Our editorial standards spell out the rules in detail.
